Valencia Bay is one of the newest Valencia communities coming to South Florida.

As active adult communities pop up around the country, many different builders are getting in on the action. While some builders simply create each community to fit its own identity, others choose to create a brand that can be replicated and easily identified regardless of location. Del Webb’s Sun City communities and Minto’s Latitude Margaritaville communities are good examples of the latter.

Another top brand that active adults seem to love is Valencia by GL Homes. Despite only being located in one state, Florida, the Valencia brand has become known for its modern clubhouses and wealth of recreation-focused amenities. Valencia encompasses 13 total communities, all located along Florida’s coasts. Each community has a vast array of amenities, including large, modern clubhouses, several pools, multiple sports courts, and scenic, waterside settings.

Valencia Lakes – Wimauma

Low $200s – Mid $600s

This Tampa Bay Area community has long been a popular landing spot for active adults looking for a bayside retirement. Construction on Valencia Lakes began in 2006 and is still going with a planned 1,540 single family and attached homes upon completion.

Residents enjoy a 40,000 square-foot clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, steam rooms, and saunas. Ways to say active outdoors include a resort-style pool, resistance pool, six Har-Tru tennis courts, pickleball courts, a softball field, and a half-court basketball court among others. Besides everything inside the community, homeowners have beautiful views of nearby waterways and everything great that comes with living on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Valencia Reserve – Boynton Beach

High $300s – Mid $800s

Active adults looking to retire to the already popular Palm Beach County area have long loved Valencia Reserve. The gated community hosts 1,043 single-family homes in a scenic, tranquil setting. Amenities are focussed at the 41,000 square-foot clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, cafe, and catering kitchen.

Outdoors, residents enjoy a lap pool, resistance pool, and resort-style pool. There are also 9 Har-Tru tennis courts, a basketball court, and walking trails. The community’s location close to freeways and an airport make it great for those looking to travel.

Valencia Palms – Delray Beach

Low $500s – High $800s

Another Palm Beach County community, Valencia Palms, provides homeowners with resort-style amenities and an active social scene. It includes 734 single-family homes in a gated setting. Amenities are located around the 25,000 square-foot clubhouse that includes a fitness center, aerobics room, and multiple games and activity rooms.

Outdoors is a resort-style pool, poolside cafe, and resistance pool. There are also seven Har-Tru tennis courts, a basketball court, pickleball court, and fishing lakes. Homeowners also love the easy access to Atlantic Ocean beaches. Those looking for a private yet social retirement will feel right at home in Valencia Palms.

Valencia Bonita – Bonita Springs

Low $300s – High $400s

Heading over to the Gulf Coast again, Valencia Bonita is one of GL Homes’ newest communities. That first Valencia community in Southwest Florida, Valencia Bonita has everything active adults have to expect from the brand. Upon completion, the community will include 997 single family and attached homes priced from the low $300s to the high $400s.

Amenities will include a 45,000 square-foot clubhouse with fitness center, grand ballroom, cooking studio, indoor/outdoor cafe and bars, and sports lounge. Outdoors, homeowners will be able to enjoy a resort-style pool, lap pool, resistance pool, wading pool, and whirlpool spa. There will also be 8 lighted tennis courts, pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, and a half basketball court.

Valencia Shores – Lake Worth

High $300s – Mid $600s

Back in Palm Beach County, we’ll find Valencia Shores in Lake Worth. It includes 1,143 single-family homes in a gated, tranquil setting. There are two separate clubhouses for residents, the Social Club and the Athletic Clubhouse. The 34,000 square-foot Social Club includes a cafe, catering kitchen, game and activities rooms, and a library. The 17,646 square-foot Athletic Clubhouse has a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, hair and nail salon, massage therapy room, steam rooms, and an indoor whirlpool spa.

Outdoors between the two clubhouses are two resort-style pools, a resistance pool, a whirlpool, spa, twelve Har-Tru tennis courts, two racquetball courts, a half-court basketball court. Another popular amenity is the lakeside beach available to all homeowners.
