Del Webb invested $1.5 million to upgrade Stone Creek, a 55+ community with homes for sale in Ocala, Florida. Improvements center around the resort-style Del Webb amenities available on the property’s 29-acre recreation complex, and you’ll want to see the upgraded facilities for yourself.

Things are looking spiffier than usual in Ocala, Florida, thanks to the recent $1.5-million upgrades to Stone Creek, a 55+ community that has become one of the best in Florida for active adults looking for a warm and welcoming place to call home. Builder Del Webb has consistently improved and upgraded this community since it opened in 2006, but this latest project focused on expanding and updating the amenities.

A Modern Clubhouse and Spa

This improvement project focused mainly on the complete renovation of the Reunion Clubhouse and the Elan Spa. Both of these amenities are part of the Reflection Bay recreational complex, which is the hub of all social activities, including club meetings, holiday parties, and impromptu get-togethers.

Upgrades at the 22,500-square-foot Reunion Clubhouse include brand new flooring, modern decor, and a new place for residents to enjoy refreshments. The recently opened Saratoga Cafe attracts residents who want to grab coffee with friends or take lunch to go.

The Elan Spa has been a source of comfort and relaxation for Stone Creek residents, and it’s now even more inviting. Luxury features in the 23,500-square-foot facility now include shiny new floors and updated wall treatments. The decor inspires peace, serenity, and bliss while the new exercise equipment in the fitness center invites a renewed focus on health and movement.

Healthy living has rarely looked so appealing, and even the locker rooms have been upgraded with better floors and finer showers. Residents still have access to the indoor and outdoor pools at the spa, as well as massage services and group fitness classes in the aerobics and dance studio.

Stone Creek Grille Is the Place to Be

One of the amenities that residents at Stone Creek love best is the Stone Creek Golf Club and Grille. In addition to an 18-hole championship golf course created and designed by Terry Hoss, there’s a putting green, a driving range, and a pro shop. More importantly, there’s a restaurant that serves everything from brunch to formal dinners. Stone Creek Grille boasts a scenic venue and an intriguing menu with everything from shrimp to sandwiches to steaks.

Patrons who enjoyed dining there before will really appreciate it now. The restaurant has always had indoor and outdoor seating, but the new outdoor patio area has been outfitted with fire pits and cozy lounge chairs. It sets an ideal scene for enjoying a glass of wine or a cocktail before or after dinner.

A lot of money was also spent on the restaurant’s overall appearance. It’s hard to miss the upgrades and the shiny new exterior. The kitchen and dining areas were also beneficiaries of the recent improvements.

Sean Strickler, PulteGroup division president for the west Florida region, said the improvements were made to encourage residents to engage in the things they love to do in a special setting. “From the spa to the exercise studios to the Golf Club, everything feels brand new,” he said.

A Short History of Stone Creek Improvements

With a reputation for providing the finest Florida homes for sale to active adults who are approaching or settling into their retirements, Del Webb has not hesitated to continue improving properties like Stone Creek.

Improvements in 2015 and 2016 included the introduction of a private softball field and additional storage and parking for boats and recreational vehicles. In 2017, the Reflection Bay Dog Park opened to the joy of residents and the gleeful yapping of their furry friends.

The Reflection Bay Amenity and Recreation Center covers 29 acres and includes a fishing pier, tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and horseshoe pits. There are miles of trails and paths for biking, walking, and jogging. Ice cream socials, tailgating parties, and singles events are frequently held, and some of the more popular clubs include the travel club, photography group, and the glee club.

New and Resale Homes Available

Buyers looking for Central Florida real estate that’s affordable, attractive, and recently upgraded have some good options at Stone Creek. In addition to new constructions, homebuyers can browse beautifully designed single-family and attached resale homes for sale.

Dozens of floor plans are available across a variety of sizes, from 1,133-square-foot homes with one bedroom to 2,834-square-foot homes with three bedrooms. The spacious floor plans include open areas, huge great rooms, and private outdoor spaces. And upgrades at Stone Creek have not been restricted to the amenities, as many properties include high-end finishes, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and tile floors.
