Rossmoor – Walnut Creek, CA

Low $300s – Low $2Ms

Nestled in the hills of Walnut Creek, Rossmoor is a 55+ community providing residents with the best of both worlds. This long-standing Bay Area respite provides a peaceful, wooded setting near all of the urban excitement of Downtown SF.

Golfers will be delighted by the on-site driving range, pro shop, and two courses. The longer course is an 18-hole, par-72 course, while the shorter course is a 9-hole, 36-par course.

With 6,678 attached, condo-style, and single-family homes, this gated community offers a home to suite everyone’s needs. From cozy condos to large single family homes, the houses at Rossmoor range from 600 to 2,535 square feet, and feature a variety of floor plans.

A low monthly homeowners’ association (HOA) fee provides services such as exterior maintenance, landscaping, common area maintenance, security, cable TV, and bus transportation. Some of the other notable amenities featured at Rossmoor include multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, a 150-seat theater, over 200 active social clubs, miles of paved walking and biking trails, an on-site seasonal Farmer’s Market, and a weekly Rossmoor News newspaper to keep residents informed of all the happenings inside the community.

Trilogy at the Vineyards – Brentwood, CA

Trilogy at the Vineyards is about an hour’s drive from San Francisco. Boasting a stunning backdrop of Mount Diablo, this gated community offers residents modern, high-end homes among beautiful vineyards, and lies directly adjacent to the Brentwood Golf Club, which offers 27 holes of championship golf, designed by renowned golf course architect, Ted Robinson.

Summerset – Brentwood, CA

Another Brentwood community, Summerset offers the best of both worlds—suburban serenity only a little over an hour’s drive from San Francisco. This 1,000-acre golf community is popular among golf enthusiasts, who appreciate access to a beautiful 18-hole golf course.

Summerset is comprised of 2,013 attached and single-family homes, ranging from 964 to 2,652 square feet, with two to three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and a one- to three-car garage. Homeowners in this gated community enjoy premium lots offering golf course views or a quaint, cul-de-sac location.

In addition to direct access to an 18-hole golf course, residents enjoy a wide assortment of amenities, including multiple fitness centers, a library, card rooms, a ballroom, outdoor swimming pools and spas, lighted tennis courts, bocce courts, private parks, and paved walking trails. Residents enjoy access to a variety of social clubs, planned events, and outings.
