    Manteca is a city in San Joaquin County, California and located within the Central Valley. San Francisco is approximately 76 miles west. Best known for the warm weather and being part of the bay area, it is a popular destination for retirees. 

    Climate & Geography

    Manteca has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate. The average annual high temperature is in the mid 70s and the average annual low temperature is in the low 50s. The average annual precipitation is roughly 15 inches of rainfall. 

    Manteca is found in between the larger cities of Modesto and Stockton. The city’s elevation is about 36 feet above sea level.

    Manteca is a vibrant city that offers a variety of activities. Residents like visiting vineyards, shopping in farmers markets and enjoying several theaters in the city. San Francisco is near enough for day trips to explore a wider assortment of activities. There are numerous natural areas around Manteca and Yosemite National Park is only a two hour drive from Manteca.

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is ranked High Performing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and heart failure. Memorial Medical Center-Modesto is ranked High Performing in COPD and heart failure.
