Viera has a humid subtropical climate. The average annual high temperature is in the low 80s and the average annual low temperature is in the low 60s. The average annual precipitation is roughly 50 inches of rainfall.
The larger city of Orlando is approximately 50 miles north of Viera. It’s also mainly surrounded by smaller bodies of water that flow into the Indian River to the east. Lake Washington is located to the south of the city. River Lakes Conservation area borders to the west.

Viera offers many activities for active adults including Duran Golf Club and many parks for walking and bike riding. Art galleries and museums are scattered throughout the city. The larger city of Orlando is near enough for residents to take day trips and explore a wider variety of activities.
