    Mechanicsburg climate is humid-continental with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual high temperature is in the low 60s and the average annual low temperature is in the mid 40s. The average annual precipitation is around 40 inches of rainfall. 

    Mechanicsburg is located in Cumberland Valley, a rich agricultural region. It’s a broad zone between South Mountain and the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians. Pennsylvania Route 641 is the main east-west street that runs through Mechanicsburg.

    There are farmers markets throughout the borough where residents enjoy strolling and shopping. There are numerous parks where residents can enjoy walking, jogging, and biking, many of these parks allow dogs. Indoor activities include visiting the museums, theaters, and brewing companies.
